“Every single Republican voted against equal pay for women. Every. Single. One.”
Did you hear that, Purple Penguins? Every single Republican. Every. Single. One. They all hate women. They sit around plotting your demise, wondering how they can get you back in the kitchen where you belong. They sit there in their La-Z-Boy recliners, planning to send you back to the 1950’s where June Cleaver vacuumed in heals, and Lucy the ditzy housewife was always getting in trouble with Ricky. They want you barefoot and pregnant, not making the same wages as your male counterparts. They want you to be a woman who has nary a hair out of place while working on a perfect meatloaf in your hot kitchen, glistening with perspiration while they sit in their ivory towers with a firm grasp on your ovaries. Ward – relaxing with paper in hand – need only snap his fingers to bring June to his side, that’s the way they want it to be,
ladies Purple Penguins. Without equal pay rights, we women will be back to the days of maki…..
Wait…wasn’t the Equal Pay Act signed in 1963?
Yes. Yes it was. So what is this “equal pay” stuff you keep seeing? It’s about the Paycheck Fairness Act, soon to be followed by the ‘If You Have Lady Parts, We’ll Fool You Act,’ and the ‘Let’s Get Those Boobs To Vote For Us Act.’ Why do you keep seeing propaganda that talks about equal pay for women? Well, it’s simple: They think you’re dumb. Not just run of the mill ‘Oops I put the colors in with the whites’ dumb, but more like ‘Hey, do these paint chips taste funny to you?’ dumb.
But don’t be angry at the left, it’s a special kind of love they have for you. Kind of like the love that Ted Bundy had for his victims, or the love that Hugh Hefner has for his bunnies. You serve a purpose; you’re an item, a voter, and an easily manipulated piece of flesh. They say “jump,” and you ask them how high, then when they are through with you, you’ll be lucky to walk away with any dignity whatsoever. Or in the case of Monica Lewinski, a book deal. This is how the left treats women on a daily basis, you’re good enough to garner votes, but if you step out of line you’re worthless. You’re a fun time, but say the wrong thing and you might just find yourself suffocating in a channel off of Chappaquiddick Island. This is why your illusionary 23 cent wage gap is important to them, but they’ll call men who support genital mutilation “moderate,” and “peaceful.” Betty makes less than Bob because she has less experience and they go all, “CALL UP THE TROOPS!”… Little girl is mutilated and then made into a child bride with the cries of “Coexist” from liberals in the background.
Example: Blake Lively recently published a piece complementing the Southern Bell ideals on her website Preserve. Left leaning Vox did not appreciate her article, and said the following:
“This week, Blake Lively, a popular human with great hair who supposedly stars in movies sometimes, made the most interesting move of her career: she accidentally published pro-slavery propaganda.”
But give other actresses who are simply popular humans with great hair a microphone at the DNC, and suddenly they become the most brilliant individuals in the world, and if you don’t listen to them you’re a slave to the Republicans. Put Lena Dunham in a onesie and have her dance to a song by a man who makes his living singing misogynistic trash, but she’s pro-choice, so clearly she’s beyond criticism. Put Beyonce in a thong and make her an item, but if she stands up for liberal principles she’s suddenly the picture of Feminism. I’m sure that all of the basement dwellers staring at her photos on their computers right now are thinking, “Man, I bet it’s not all body, I bet she’s super smart too.”
Hahahah…hah…hahahahah….Ok, back to the post.
Liberals are so vehemently against individuality that it seeps through their pores, and the women who fall for their rhetoric and share the ignorance with a sense of accomplishment are similar to kids who decided to show their Mom how they learned to paint on the walls with their split pea soup. It’s gross, it’s messy, it’s going to smell for a while, the adults are stuck cleaning it up, and you just can’t wait for them to grow out of that stage.
So what is the bastion of feminism known as equal pay? Well, other than being a glorious talking point for Emma Watson and Kristin Bell (ivory tower theatrics), it’s the “easy job.” When I’m cleaning my house and my nephew wants to help I enthusiastically say, “Well, Bud, you know how you can really help me out? Grab the Swiffer and take it all over the house a bunch of times.” Why? Because he can walk around for hours with that Swiffer, collecting stagnant little dust bunnies and not hurting anything. It’s just a way for me to keep him occupied for hours on end, and make him think he is doing something incredibly useful. Equal pay and reproductive rights are the Swiffers of the Democrat party, they’re the easy job that they can talk unassuming females into carrying around, and in the process they help them collect votes from unassuming
dust bunnies women. They might as well pat them on the head upon completion and say, “Good puppy, now you may add “Feminist” to your Facebook bio.” Sure, some liberal women go rouge and run into restaurants yelling about their chicken named Snow, or send vagina cookies with their middle school child, but all in all, the majority tend to stay on the reservation preaching the script.
I remember watching a movie once where all of the men were in the cigar room discussing business, and when a woman entered the room she was basically told not to worry her pretty little head about business affairs. This is pretty much the same thing. Let’s see these “strong” women talk about the labor force participation rate.
Sandra, Why is the LFP at a 36 year low?
Beyonce, What’s the difference between the U-3 & U-6 unemployment rates?
Gwyneth, Where was President Obama’s glorious face on the night of the Benghazi attack?
Lena, How many families lost their insurance, and now can’t afford insurance because of the ACA?
“Don’t worry you’re pretty little heads about such issues, remember, you have ovaries and wages to protect.” – Democrats
See, those questions are above their pay grade. Those questions represent cleaning the fridge, rearranging the living room, scrubbing the floors, etc. that’s the real work. No, no…Women get to carry around the Swiffer of equal pay and reproductive rights, and get dressed up in vagina costumes with tampon earrings; they get to be the show that keeps people from looking behind the stage. They get to march for the right to kill their children, and throw urine at those who respect life. They get to have grotesque sex scenes in their TV shows, portray themselves as objects, and then beg for birth control from their leaders. That’s what women get to do.
But, back to the point, let’s talk about the Paycheck Fairness Act. A) Paying women less than men for the exact same job – when they have the exact same credentials – has been illegal for a while (shhhhh… don’t tell those ladies in the vagina costumes), and B) the data that they used to give the bill any meaning whatsoever was so contorted that we could accurately compare it to the face I make when I listen to Hillary Clinton talk.
Here’s the deal, folks…Men and Women make different career choices. That’s right, after those Purple Penguins grow up, they find that they have different ambitions. Males and females tend to migrate towards different areas of expertise. The data used for the Paycheck Fairness Act does not take that issue into account. SO, while men may choose to become brain surgeons more often than women, and women may choose to become pediatric surgeons more often than men, they get lumped into the same category. Now, clearly a brain surgeon would be paid more due to the higher level of skill set necessary when dealing with the brain. So it isn’t about their genitals, it’s about their career choices, folks. Woman are also more likely to take breaks during their career – by choice – to take care of their budding family. Men also fill the majority of overtime paying blue collar jobs, while women tend to lean towards salaried white color jobs.
If you support a woman’s right to choose, then you should support the Republicans on this issue. The wage gap is due to the individual choices made by women. If a woman wants a more flexible lifestyle, she may choose to work less hours (which is more often in women than in men), she would logically be asked to take a pay decrease if she’s, you know, working less. This Act would open up doors for endless litigation if employers work with women on their flexibility and pay, so much so that employers will tighten the reins on negotiations with women. This doesn’t HELP women, it takes away their choices.
Does everyone remember the Lilly Ledbetter info that Democrats were circulating during the 2012 election? You know, the Republicans were against that too, because they hate women or something. Whatever happened to that, you ask? And what exactly was it? I’ll tell you:
Not getting paid as much as men who are equally qualified is called discrimination. The Lilly Ledbetter act was put in place in 2009 by Barack Obama and his handsome face…Once again, discrimination was still illegal before 2009. So, why did Lilly need her own act, you ask? See, Lilly had been approached by her manager with a proposition; she would receive her raise if she didn’t reject his sexual advances. Lilly wasn’t fond of his addition to her job requirements, as most of us wouldn’t be. Unfortunately for perverted coworkers, the vast majority of women do not sit around and think, “boy, I sure wish that 50 year-old suit wasn’t married.”
Understand, Bill Clinton? John Edwards? Eliot Spitzer? I digress.
So, she refused, and she didn’t receive the pay raise. Every paycheck from that point on is considered a new case of discrimination. Once again, anti-discrimination laws were already in place, the Lilly Ledbetter Act wanted to change the statute of limitations. In the original anti-discrimination laws, the statute of limitations started counting down from the DAY of the discrimination. Well, Lilly didn’t report her story until later in her career, probably out of fear, but the statute of limitations clock started ticking the day her boss made a really, really, really gross proposition. The Lilly Ledbetter Act statute of limitations starts counting down on the day of your most recent paycheck (because each paycheck is considered a new act of discrimination). So, say you have a boss that gives you a similar Nicholas Sparks worthy offer and you turn him down, and then a year later he leaves. You have 2 new bosses between then and the time you report the utterly romantic proposal, both bosses give you raises without such vomit inducing terms, but even with those raises you still aren’t seeing the first raise due to your refusal of the first proposal. And so, every check is considered a new act of discrimination.
Why did republicans oppose this? Because they hate women? No. They didn’t feel that if an employee had been discriminated against in 2001 under a manager that left in 2002, the new management that took over in 2002 should not have to pay for the (unknown to them) discriminatory acts of the previous manager once the employee retires in 2016. Logical right? Because that would be like being abused by your father, and then making your step-father serve the prison sentence.
Fun Fact: If you double the turnout at the Sak’n Save Sandra Fluke “rally” of 2012, you will have roughly the amount of people that have used the Lilly Ledbetter Act. And that’s not much…
No matter where you stand on these issues, it is important to know the truth. This Lilly Ledbetter Act wasn’t a big deal for women’s rights by ANY stretch of the imagination, and the Paycheck Fairness Act could actually do more harm to women than good. The democrats like giving liberals an “act” that they can tout, because it makes them sound like they stand for something grand and glorious (even if the majority of women don’t even know what it is). But standing for something grand and glorious would be more like marching alongside minorities for civil rights when it wasn’t considered “cool.” Kind of like how the republicans marched for civil rights. Kind of like how George Romney marched for civil rights.
So, wouldn’t it be fair for human beings – male, female, and the purple penguins too – to be compensated for experience, quality of work, difficulty of job, and not what’s found between their legs? Well, that’s already the way it is. With our labor force participation rate continuing to reach new lows, the last thing we need is more bureaucratic tape for employers to muddle through. I’m not saying that there aren’t instances of discrimination, but this type of rhetoric and creating more issues for good employers (the vast majority) and women in the workforce, is not the way to solve those issues.
So, in closing, I’d just like to remind you that whenever I see someone post the ridiculous “Every single Republican voted against equal pay for women. Every. Single. One.” picture, I look at your post like an adult looks at a child after they catch them painting on the walls with their food. It’s a fairly balanced mixture of annoyance and pity.
Thanks for reading!
P.S. If you don’t get the “purple penguin” reference, you need to read the news more often.
Originally blogged in 2012. I started to make a new blog concerning recent events in Israel, however, I then remembered that I had written this during the 2012 debacle. There are a few points that are specific to that particular year, but in general, this post is relevant and is exactly what I would say today.
If only the Civil War was the only misconception that the left has had in the last
day week month decade really, really long time…But alas, it is not.
In a land
far far away situated between Canada and Mexico, the people are split on their alliance, who they support in the war between Hamas and Israel (Trust me, it’s not over.) I have seen too many posts to respond to concerning Israel “stealing” land from the Palestinians. My twitter feed has exploded with derogatory comments, and that is why I decided to write this post.
Although typing up a basic response (basic for me tends to be a book) and exercising my mad copy/paste skills in each post was incredibly tempting, I decided to write this blog post to address my beliefs and factual backing for what I feel is some of the greatest misconceptions concerning Israel out there today.
“How would you feel if someone stole your land??? Those poor Palestinians!”
My gut reaction to statements like the above is to respond to this with, “Really, you’re NOT going to side with God’s people?”. Bus alas, I have always felt that my moral beliefs should be understood by the atheists as well. Even though I feel strongly that a “moral law” is written on the hearts of men BY God, I try to approach my explanations in a way that can’t be construed as being “bible thumping.”
Now…We COULD go all the way back to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. The Promised Land. The 40 years of wondering in the desert. The history of Jerusalem. The Establishment of the Jewish Monarchy. The Roman Rule, Arab Rule, Ottoman Rule, etc. But for the sake of our sanity, and a goal of keeping this a “blog post” and not a “book,” I’ll keep it short (er)…
Here is my somewhat sporadic, yet condensed, history rant:
So let’s travel back in time to the 1920’s – 1960’s and deal with those land thieves once and for all. When Israel stole the land from the
Palestinians British…Just kidding. They didn’t steal anything. BEFORE the State of Israel was declared, the land was territory of Britain. It became British territory through the Sykes-Picot Agreement (or Asia Minor). They called for it to be shared between the Arab Palestinians and the Jewish Palestinians (Since they recognized both), actually the word “Palestine” was given by the Europeans to name the region (“region,” people, “region!”). The Jewish community, known at that time as the Jewish Palestinians, gave a thumbs up to the concept, the Palestinian Arabs gave a thumbs down. Why is it that we forget about British Imperialism after the whole fall of the Ottoman empire?
So, back to the middle of the 1920’s. The British divided the land, giving the Jews west of the Jordan river, and the Arab Palestinians what we now call Jordan. Then came the whole “We want ALL the land, lets push those Jews into the sea” idea. So, they started the war games trying to drive the Jews out, and they still haven’t ended, nor will they anytime soon. The Brits turned a blind eye to the chaos that they could no longer control, and the Jews decided that it was time to fight back and protect the land given to them.
Then the British turned the states back over to the UN (Adoption remorse?). BUT, upon receiving yet another offer to have both a Jewish Palestinian state AND an Arab Palestinian state the Arabs said, “no, we want all of the land that is both East & West of the Jordan river.”
Too bad…so sad Well…isn’t this a pickle.
Since the Sinai Peninsula was traded to Egypt for peace, and Jordan was originally going to be within the Israeli borders, technically the most accurate way to describe the actions of that time period would be to say that ISRAEL is the one with whom had land “stolen” from them. There were NO Palestinian borders. None. Zip. Ninguno. Geen. It was a region. How do you steal land from the Arabs when land is GIVEN by the British to the Jews? Because they wanted it? Are we 5? It’s like when your Mom puts out a platter of cookies, just because you lick a cookie then put it back on the platter doesn’t mean the cookie is actually yours. It wasn’t their time to play “claim that territory,” because the British had already claimed it, and then GAVE it to whom they chose.
SO, throughout this time the Jews PURCHASED more land from the Palestinians, the Palestinians were removed from the land. No, not by the Israelis, but by the Arab countries that wanted to invade Israel. They said “flee so that we may bring our peaceful religion’s war machines into position!” Ok…maybe they didn’t use that exact verbiage, but you get the point.
Throughout all of the wars, including the one between 1948-49 the Jewish Palestinians ended with a slightly larger state than what the UN had proposed. BUT, by the time we hit the 1960’s the Arab Palestinians had control of 85% of the Palestine territory, compared to the 75% they had been given.
Bum bum bum…The Six Day War.
The Six Day War was for the exact same premise as all of the previous wars between the Arabs and the Israelis. The Arabs rejected, and STILL reject Israel. The Egyptians had used United Nations troops from the Sinai Peninsula to block shipping to Israel’s port of Eilat. This was an act of war, and the Arab nations have NEVER denied that it wants Israel OFF the map. They don’t want peace.
It’s simple: They don’t want Israel to exist.
During the Six Day War Israel fought Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Iraq, Saudi Arabia…etc (The Arab Republic) And they win. (Somebody had their spinach…and you know…GOD…) Jewish people had control of the Sinai Desert. If you haven’t seen a map…that’s a large chunk. Israel (being the last shred of good in the Middle East) told the ready to flee Palestinian Arabs to stay in hopes of educating and finally finding peace between the two nations of people. Then in the 1980’s Israel gave the Sinai Desert to Egypt in an act of peace.
But from the beginning of the wars, up through current day, the Arab Palestinians have had ONE goal:
“Our aim is the full restoration of the rights of the Palestinian people. In other words, we aim at the destruction of the State of Israel. The immediate aim: perfection of Arab military might. The national aim: the eradication of Israel.” – President Nasser of Egypt in 1965
“We will not accept any coexistence with Israel…Today the issue is not the establishment of peace between the Arab states and Israel . The war with Israel is in effect since 1948.” – Nasser in 1967
“This is our chance Arabs, to deal Israel a mortal blow of annihilation, to blot out its entire presence in our holy land” Cairo Radio
Oh, but they weren’t just filling their “burn book” with Israel…
“Millions of Arabs are … preparing to blow up all of America’s interests, all of America’s installations, and your entire existence, America.” Cairo Radio
So, you can be angry at America, and angry at the Brits, but the facts are, it was British territory, and it was GIVEN. Israelis are not thieves, in fact, they have given land to promote peace, and any of the land gained during the wars was because they WON the land during a war NOT started by them. But the problem isn’t the offers, the problem isn’t the lack of peace, and the problem isn’t Israel.
The problem is that the countries surrounding Israel want her gone.
The problem is that while Israel wants peace, Jihadist don’t know of such a thing as peace.
The problem is that while Israelis wants “coexistence,” terrorists want to drag their family members lifeless bodies through the streets.
During this time, Iraq proclaimed that “Israel was an error which must be rectified.” Palestinians stated that “it is either us or the Israelis,” and Syria declared that it was time to “explode the Zionist presence in the Arab homeland,”etc. So from THOSE quotes alone we can clearly see a reason for a bad case of sellers remorse on behalf of the Palestinians. So while the Palestinian militant movement of Hamas is dragging bodies through streets and committing war crimes both by aiming at civilian locations, and hiding behind their own civilians, you’ll have to excuse me while I look at you with puzzled amazement when you proclaim your support of Hamas…Or better yet, your condemnation of Israel.
Israel tries their hardest to avoid civilians. They were even warning them with phone calls, roof knocking, and even dropping leaflets over Gaza warning them to “avoid being present in the vicinity of Hamas operatives.” Of course there are civilian casualties of war…But one side is doing their best to avoid as many as possible, and the other is meticulously planning them out.
Egyptian President Morsi backed Hamas and stated that Israel needed to end the aggression. Mr. Morsi is a high-ranking member with the Muslim Brotherhood and has an open door policy with the White House, what we fail to see is that the Muslim Brotherhood, Al Qaeda, and Hamas are basically sister terrorist organizations. They’ve all vocalized their deeply rooted hatred for Israel, including the Muslim Brotherhood…and yet our President supports them. Why haven’t we cut off economic funds???
Hamas is a progeny of the Muslim Brotherhood. When the Muslim Brotherhood says “jump”, Hamas says “how high?”. Of course Morsi had the power to create a “ceasefire,” he’s had it all along, and Israel has no urge to continue fighting. Hamas backs off, Israel backs off.
But hold off on your “peace celebrations.” For Israel hating Morsi to encourage a “ceasefire” tells us that deeper, more sinister plans against Israel are lying in anxious wait. We can’t possibly be ignorant enough to believe that he has had an instantaneous change of heart concerning Israel. The Morsi government has turned a blind eye towards the killing of Christians, and now are bringing in a new level of dictatorship. Egypt is about to get very bloody. So, right AFTER the “ceasefire” Morsi comes out with his sickle and hammer ideology…Sounds legit.
Islamic theocracies…They redefine the word “brutal”.
Back to the point…I ask that you put yourself in the shoes of Israel. Let’s say you purchase a house. While unpacking your dishes and settling in, suddenly a rock comes crashing through your window with a note:
Israel Jones Family,
We hate you and hope you die. We want to demolish your home, preferably with you in it, and build a pool, maybe even a mini bar with ackawi dip and smooth cardamom coffee equipped with straws long enough to accommodate our Burqa wearing women…You know…If we decide they can have coffee. So, we have weapons and will be violently attacking your home, and probably trying to vaporize your children.
Sincerely, All of your neighbors, Including the people who sold you your garage.”
Would you not defend yourself? Israel has been taking numerous attacks over the years, rockets, warnings and brutality. But when Israel defends itself we give a “stand down” order?
I support Israel. I support her because God told me to. I support her because it’s LOGICAL. I support her because she is the one shred of decency left in the Middle East. I’m ashamed that 51% of my nation turned their back on her by voting in a President that supports her enemies.
Alright, I’ll finally get to the end of this post. But just know that if you’re dealing with Hamas sympathizers, you are not alone. We live in an America where a dictator gets a majority vote, and the people support terrorists and brutality in the Middle East while preaching on “peace.” There is more of this to come. How do I know this? Because “God said so”…
First off, I must apologize again for the amount of time between posts. So far it has been a crazy year, but I promise that I am getting back on track.
So, on a scale from 1 to Black Friday in Bath & Body Works, how overwhelmed by all of the Obama scandals are you?
Seriously, I sat down and made a list of all the current topics I could blog about, and the list grew so long that my brain shut down. I found myself spacing out while staring sideways at my list, similar to how I speechlessly stared sideways when I encountered that lady in Walmart that asked me where the milk was while I was shopping on the complete opposite side of the store….in the paint aisle.
So, my friends, I’m going to blog about some of the topics on my list, but this blog post isn’t really about them; it’s about you.
*Pulls first topic out of the bucket labeled “Facepalm”*
Lois Lerner Emails:
My phone contacts all have the name of my actual contact, and also “& NSA” attached to them:
“Mom & NSA”
“Beth & NSA”
“Chris & NSA”
Etc….Get it? Ha ha ha. Ha.
At first it was just a joke, an ironic joke, but a joke nonetheless. The funny part about this “joke,” is that it was entirely possible. Why? Because our country is technologically savvy, to a fault. That’s why when I heard that Lois Lerner had 2 years’ worth of emails lost, I laughed. Then I laughed even more. Then I cried from laughing. Then I cried for the people that believed this unmitigated rubbish. Then I worried about the offspring of those who believed it, and the possibility that their parents were the type of individuals who thought that the milk was over by the paint. Then I started laughing again. This cycle continued for at least 4 hours, it was exhausting. So I laughed myself to sleep, then after my nap I proceeded to laugh again.
I’m not even going to explain WHY this made me laugh so hard. If you need an explanation, I just want to inform you of a useful fact: The milk is NOT by the paint in Walmart. I think Paul Ryan said it best, “This is unbelievable…Nobody believes you.” I don’t believe that ANYONE can be that simple minded. You know that the emails aren’t lost. I’m giving the human race the benefit of the doubt by assuming that everyone knows this is a lie, and that those that are saying it’s not a lie, are in fact lying themselves. Kind of like how I gave the lady in Walmart the benefit of the doubt, maybe she’s never been in my Walmart…or any other Walmart.
All in all, we should be deeply offended. They actually think we are that stupid. That says a lot.
*Sticks hand into the “Facepalm” bucket and pulls out another topic.*
Is this in any way defensible, People? I love how all of the individuals that are free after this debacle, yet shouldn’t be, see America as the big bad bully of the world. They all feel that our Country needs to be taken down a notch. They all find our principles, Constitution, and way of business to be flawed. That includes the 5 terrorists released, you know, the people that want us dead, and Bergdahl.
Oh. And our President and all the manipulating, cheating, treasonous bureaucrats that supported him during this dangerous and illegal trade.
There’s no excuse. None. Zip. Nada. Nein. Nai. And for our friends who speak Swahili: “Hapana.”
We’ve reached that point in time when those we elect are giving more trust to deadly terrorists than they give us. No seriously, let that stew in your prefrontal cortex for a while.
*Hand dips back down in “Facepalm” bucket*
ISIS & Weapons of Mass Destruction:
So, ISIS stole the non-existent weapons that Saddam never had, because they never existed, because that was all just a Republican conspiracy theory. (Insert axis of evil joke here.)
Oh, and I know that right now you’re wondering why that all matters, thinking to yourself, “Let’s get to the important questions when it comes to Iraq…Like, are the tortured and beheaded civilians of Iraq fully educated on Climate Change?”…Have no fear, John Kerry and Bill Nye have all of those bases covered for you.
*In order to save time, Marybeth pulls out 4 topics from the “Facepalm” bucket*
Can we please stop picking on innocent American citizens and the First Amendment? Do the American people realize that some of those we elected to represent us are now actively trying to silence us?
Dear Harry Reid, Stop. Just stop. You show more distain for the Koch brothers than you do for the recently released terrorists who prefer a death penalty that involves rape, torture, and beheading. Let’s treat the philanthropists just a bit better, eh?
SIDE NOTE: There’s a VERY thin line between politicians protecting you, and getting the chance to have them sic the Gestapo on you for a thought crime. Remember that very important detail when you don’t think that a Conservative blogger should be able to say that Obama is irresponsible.
Everyone is screaming about how we can’t blame Obama for what the Patent and Trademark Office did. Alright, I’ll go to the special land of Selective Verbiage with you. You’re right, Obama didn’t throw down his gauntlet and demand the change, but the government that he has empowered has figured out that they can weaponize government agencies, and that’s basically the same thing. Patent and Trademark Office, IRS, Department of Education, etc. are attacking the people of the United States because they hold different beliefs than the Left.
Bergdahl is home after betraying the United States, and it cost us a considerable amount of danger. An uncountable number of lives could potentially be lost because of this switch in the years to come. Yet, our government will sit silently while a dedicated American Sergeant is held captive in Mexico. Revolting.
Wow. Just wow. THIS is what you get with socialized medicine. Period. We can do better, and there is SO much more to say on this topic, enough to get a blog post of its own, and it will. This is just proof that our government is violently out of control.
Maybe in the near future I’ll give detailed views on these subjects, as well as many others, but for now I just wanted to give an overview.
As for this being directed at you, it’s directed at you because the mid-term elections are coming up. I would say that they are even more important than the Presidential election. It is time for you to speak up, it is time for you to care, and it is time for you to find your voice before it is silenced. This isn’t about your wallet, this is about the fact that people are dying because of the policies that these politicians are pushing. It’s about them being too weak to even bring up the LONG OVERDUE idea of impeaching our President.
Show them that you are willing to do what is right for those you love, and for those who NEED you to be their voice.
*Pulls paper from the “Reasons Why Hillary Clinton Shouldn’t be President” bucket*
1975 Audio Recording:
We now have a tape of Hillary laughing about the 1975 case involving the rape of a child. Hillary also attacked the credibility of the 12 year-old rape victim, saying that the 6th grader fantasized about older men, and wanted the inappropriate relationship. So, in other words, the 12 year-old child, who probably still had dolls and read Nancy Drew, wanted the 41 year-old man to force himself on her in his car, parked on the side of the highway.
By the way…Feminists are defending Hillary.
I’m going to go ahead and black out for while… *blank stare*
I’m quite careful when labeling issues as “taboo,” I believe that we tend to label too many issues with this description in an attempt to “pick up the torch,” per se. It gives us a false sense of purpose, and instead of simply talking about the subject, or bringing awareness, we instead make it an uncomfortable topic when most of the time it wasn’t one to begin with.
I’m not insinuating that some subjects aren’t truly taboo, because clearly there are many. My point is to simply note that talking about certain subjects removes the taboo, labeling it “taboo” for some self-serving purpose, does not. It always boggles my mind to google and find thousands of different blog posts about one “taboo” subject. I have that special little, “I do not think that word means what you think it means” moment.
To my point – If there is a beloved female in the conservative movement right now, it is Dana Loesch. She is worshipped on twitter, and held in high regard in the majority of conservative circles. So in the beginning of last week I stifled my opinion for the most part, especially since I kept thinking to myself that speaking negatively against Dana is “taboo,” so “just don’t do it” flooded my mind. Then I found myself writing a letter to The Blaze, and in said letter I proclaimed the opposite of what I had said in my silence:
“So while the crowd follows this type of vitriol with excited anticipation for the next “take down,” there are some of us who have never followed, tail wagging, behind the popular girl who purposefully hurts people to get a laugh or a pat on the back. I never have, and I won’t start now.”
SO, here I am to put my money where my mouth is after calling out my own hypocrisy, even if no one was privy to its existence in this particular case.
As noted above, last week I sent a letter to The Blaze concerning The Dana Show, and while I won’t share the entire letter, I do plan on sharing bits of said letter throughout this blog piece.
As a Conservative, very little that the left does makes me cringe anymore. I’ve learned to accept the depravity that accompanies most of their ideologies, especially those that have an incredibly destitute view of human value. Don’t get me wrong, there are decent people on the left side of the aisle, but the policies themselves wreak of principles that embrace proclivities for the sheer sake of self satisfying goals.
That said, I find myself cringing quite often these days when reading the, almost villainous, replies from fellow Conservatives. So, this blog post is for those of us who wish to be more in this world than a cheap and forgettable witty comeback. So, pretty much everyone. If you don’t fall into that category, you probably shouldn’t be reading my blog.
I can be sarcastic, a lot, but I try to remain sarcastic towards the beliefs or stance of a person while making truth and honesty the forefront of my arguments, not their personhood, and I always keep it clean. Why? Because why shouldn’t I? Should I fight back with material that only serves to demonstrate a possible absence of substance? That’s exactly what the elitist “progressives” crave. They want us to get down into the mud and play their game, because then they’ll photograph us when we’re muddy and use them as a weapon against us; rightfully so, I might add. This doesn’t make me special, or superior, it simply makes me reasonable. Do I think things about some people that I shouldn’t? Of course, but like most people, I try to control myself.
So what happened to make me write a letter to The Blaze? A woman called Dana a “bitter hag.”
Call me cold hearted, this would not even budge my feelings enough to garner a reply. I wouldn’t be rendered speechless out of offense, I would be rendered speechless out of a need to conserve precious time that this particular comment would waste with an unwarranted reply. Yet this comment was used as the catalyst for a childish “yo momma” segment. “You’re gonna love this,” Dana declared before reading the “bitter hag” comment in her character voice of the day, to the sound of intimidating music.
Hmmmm…probably not, Dana.
As I mention in my letter, “When I think of the things that she has been called, or what I’ve been called, or pretty much anything else that any other conservative woman has been called, “bitter hag” is an incredible upgrade.” I stand by that statement, and my reasoning was clarified later on in the letter:
“Have we crossed the isthmus? Are we no longer able to voice personal opinions without juvenile Mean Girl-esque attempts to personally attack someone? More importantly, did being called a “bitter hag” really offend Dana that deeply? Or was it a convenient way to get the “attaboy” accolades from the masses? If she was offended that deeply, I’m forced to reconsider my personal opinion that she is a strong conservative woman. If it was the latter, I’m forced to reconsider my opinion that she is a strong conservative voice of reason.”
Why was I so impassioned by this particular segment? After reading the comment, Dana proceeded to show a picture of this woman, then showcased a photo of this woman’s mother. She then proceeded to verbally assault this woman on her overbite, attacked her facial features, her couch, her hair, and also made fun of their looks in comparison to her family’s self-proclaimed superior looks. Oh, to be so blessed aesthetically. Somewhere within the diatribe there was even a z-snap, then it ended with a final jab that taught the woman a lesson about helping her frizzy hair to be tamed with a dime size amount of conditioner.
Too far, Friends. Too far.
My below reply to her may seem harsh, but her response to this woman was the quintessential villainous response from Conservatives that I’ve grown to fear:
“My elderly family members are, shockingly, not supermodel candidates. I’m guessing that this reality is shared by, well, everyone that doesn’t have a 50 year old supermodel Grandmother. Imagine that, people get old and unattractive, and if your daughter calls someone a “bitter hag,” your photo can be paraded and mocked on TV by a woman with an Ichthys tattooed on her wrist.”
Every person that she ever debates will probably have an elderly family member or an unattractive feature. Come on, it’s low hanging fruit. Female empowerment does not find its core in the arrogance of the popular girl, female empowerment is found in our ability to think rationally. If we can’t move above grade school tactics, we are just as immature as those who buy votes with “free” contraceptives and degrading “first time” commercials that are specifically targeting an audience that they assume is of lesser intelligence, i.e., women.
I disagreed with the hate mail portion of The Dana Show to begin with, but this was the straw that broke the camel’s back. Why, you might ask, was this so important to me? Important enough to create a letter? Because I know that Dana is capable of thought provoking points, she is talented in opening the eyes of those she debates with, and she is incredibly intelligent. All of those qualities are lost on the other side if this is how she plans to conduct her behavior. As I said in the letter, the hate mail segments just seemed to cross the line between wit and obnoxious to me, even though they did nothing to offend me.
If she read her hate mail with a Darth Vader mask I’d be a bit more amused…maybe. Probably not, but it’s a possibility.
I felt in a way that it was belittling to women. Is this how we see ourselves? As sniveling beings in need of pointless vent sessions using various accents for theatrics? Maybe I’m on my own little island when it comes to that view point. Or, maybe I realize that if I wasn’t grounded in my opinions, and I was looking for a side that was speaking the truth, I would pass up the theatrics and look for the adults with facts.
So now the question is posed to us: What do we want to be known for when it comes to our political opinions? For our, questionable at best, wit when it comes to producing nicknames, e.g., “Obummer,” and “Moochelle,” or our ability to comprehend the Labor Force Participation data? For our solid z-snap, or our dedication to fighting for the voiceless? Whether we can weaken our opponents into a crying hot mess over their hair texture, or whether we can present them with facts that leave them unable to intelligently defend their position?
I know what I’ve chosen.
Sarcasm and wit lighten the mood, or get your point across in a more direct manner, when used in the right context. But when they are used to attack a person extraneously, as she has done sporadically in the past, they only serve to demonize the views of conservative women everywhere. We should find our views to be substantial and without need for petty attacks that speak to the supposed ignorance they accuse us of having. Not because we need them to think we have a factual viewpoint, but because we do have a factual viewpoint. We don’t need the petty attacks, because we have the truth. Personal attacks are nothing but unmitigated nonsense when either side participates in their furtherance, and beyond that, they are harmful to conservative women who stand on reasoning and facts.
Alright. Now I feel better. Time for coffee.
I’ve always hated the labels that redirect the responsibility of misdeeds from individual accountability to life circumstance. Sure we all go through struggles, but why does society categorize those who struggle as individuals who somehow deserve a permission slip?
She had a child out of wedlock at 16 – Yeah, but she has Daddy issues….
He’s a drug addict – Yeah, but he didn’t have many friends…
She sleeps around – Yeah, but she’s a child of divorce…
He’s a rapist – Yeah, but he was sexually abused…
I’ve known many wonderful and strong people who have overcome much, they know the statistics and refuse to be a part of the social expectations. They may struggle emotionally, but they’re determined not to let their suffering victimize someone else. I’ve also known many who let the social expectations dictate their life, it’s like having lifetime subscriptions to “but” and “because” for them. Those who are responsible shouldn’t feel like they have to prove their responsibility to the world because society tells them that their circumstances put them in the negative to begin with. Everyone is responsible for their own life. Which brings me to the meat of this blog post…
First and foremost, my heart goes out to those in Fort Hood. I’m heartbroken for the families that lost a loved one, those who are recovering in the hospital, as well as all of the families that experienced the terror of those life altering moments. Last Wednesday, we all watched the horror unfold like an all too common rerun of a horrific movie, the sudden stab of its reality reoccurring in our minds for days.
We are human, when such acts of horror invade our world like an unexpected enemy, our first response is always to question why. Closure becomes the holy grail of healing. We want to know what would cause someone to do such a thing, we want to know how we can prevent such acts from occurring. In some small way, leaving the act so fully unjustifiable seems to prove the existence of unmitigated evil in its darkest form. If we can just get a grasp on to the underlying situation we’ll feel a little safer, right? How do you stop someone from wanting to hurt innocent people? Could this particular attack be stopped? How can we make sure that this doesn’t happen again? How can we keep a wife from having to pick out a casket because a madman snapped?
Answer: We can’t. Period.
The sooner we accept this scary reality, the sooner we can make improvements that increase our ability to protect ourselves and our families.
Upon turning on the news this weekend I heard the term “PTSD” used roughly 10 times in 30 minutes by 3 different stations. I believe that doing so can be both unintentionally harmful, and sometimes meticulously orchestrated, dependent upon the deliverer of said news reports.
In an effort to answer the “why”, we’ve placed millions of people who suffer from PTSD in a category labeled “Unstable”. Millions of abuse victims, dedicated soldiers, missionaries, car wreck survivors, etc. suffer from PTSD every day, and they aren’t dangerous or unstable. They’re victims of circumstance, but they know they are responsible for their own actions.
PTSD is an anxiety disorder that can leave you in fear for your own life, as well as the life of others. It can cause you to feel like you aren’t in control of your surroundings, and oftentimes normal everyday activities serve as a trigger for your memory, causing you to relive the specific events. It leaves some unable to speak about the events, it can cause them to avoid situations that they fear, which can become all consuming. Hypersensitivity, as well as addiction, are also possible. It’s very common, and those who suffer are far from alone.
There are also those who suffer from brain damage and severe mental disorders, and I believe that we can do more to help them and prevent tragedies by doing so. But the point of this post is to make it clear that using PTSD to justify the slaughter of innocent individuals is not only ignorant, it’s irresponsible, and it vilifies those who come home from war. It encourages them not to seek help.
They’re heroes overseas, yet suddenly untrustworthy with a weapon on U.S. soil. We’ll send them to fight for our rights, but then question their own rights when they simply ask for help. In blaming PTSD, we also tell them that they’re not responsible for their actions, and we fail the very people that fight for us. Many feel out of control, and so we reiterate to them that they are out of control by placing their decision making process fully in the hands of an anxiety disorder.
So, to make this perfectly clear:
PTSD did not go on a shooting spree. Ivan Lopez went on a shooting spree.
A gun did not go on a shooting spree. Ivan Lopez went on a shooting spree.
Millions of people suffering from PTSD daily did not go on a shooting spree, nor will they. Ivan Lopez went on a shooting spree.
Which brings me to my next issue:
Danny Ferguson was engaged to be married. He’d just returned from Afghanistan, and he sacrificed himself while trying to save others. Danny obeyed the law and wasn’t armed on base.
Carlos Lazaney-Rodriguez dedicated 20 years of his life to serving his country, in seven months he planned to retire. Carlos obeyed the law and wasn’t armed on base.
Timothy Owens was a counselor and had also done time in Iraq. He planned to make the military his career. Timothy obeyed the law and wasn’t armed on base.
Ivan Lopez did not obey the law, and he took their lives before taking his own.
A common misconception that spread like a vicious wildfire after this recent attack is that Fort Hood, a military base, should be well equipped to protect itself. They feed the idea that we must control guns, that we need to control those with PTSD, that we need to have more restrictions, etc. Yet they fail to mention that our Military bases are GUN FREE ZONES.Fort Hood is the liberal utopia! Guns must be registered, no carrying permitted, only police are armed, etc… Yet what was the first response when these policies failed?
“We need more control.”
When are people going to realize that violence will always happen, and that the only response from leftist politicians will be to tighten the belt even more? I believe that even they know it won’t work. It’s the same across the U.S., they know the policies don’t work, we have the proof. Feeding the fear of guns is simply a glowing opportunity for Democrats to have more state control. Period. When it fails, they don’t care, they just push for increased control. The accompanying body count of defenseless victims is simply collateral damage for the common good.
My Dad served in the Army for 30 years. He was trusted in life or death situations, highly trained, level headed, etc… I hope I’m not the only one disturbed by the insanity that while he was willing to take a bullet for our country, our country turned around and put him in danger when he came back home. This fact is infuriating to me, and quite hard to stomach.
Is it just a lack of common sense? It’s simple: Those who plan to break the law and murder someone are not going to mind breaking the law to gain the weapon to do so. That’s right, out of the entire military, including millions of those that suffer with PTSD, .00007% went on a shooting spree this year, so that somehow justifies keeping the rest of our military in danger? Go back and recount those zeros so that we can bask in the unrivaled ignorance of gun control.
I often ask why law makers and leftists fight to unarm our military. The only answer I have is one that scares me: They are either dangerously ignorant, and are therefore incompetent to run a country, OR, seeing men and women in body bags is not a cost they’re not willing to pay for their propaganda and control.
I see people fighting all the time on behalf of military benefits, and I’m not asking you to stop…But I find it equally important, if not more so, for us to fight for their right to protect themselves. Our soldiers fight for the freedoms outlined in the Constitution, then come home and get gunned down because they’re not allowed to have those same rights, then survivors get labeled as ticking time bombs because they have PTSD.
Come on, America…We can do better.
Scandals happen. From the illegitimate son of Grover Cleveland to The Whiskey Ring and Credit Mobilier scandals during the Ulysses S. Grant Presidency, or maybe the Reagan era Iran-Contra scandal, the Nixon Watergate or Monica (No additional titling needed).
All of the above scandals either had the TV exploding with breaking news or tested the speed and efficiency of printing presses across the US. Reporters loaded with more questions than they’d ever have the opportunity to ask, grasping at any open door presented to them to break the next big story; motivated by the possibility of a career rocketing moment.
You could argue that all Presidential scandals have been politicized, they’ve been used – maybe even flaunted – by the opposition; whether you carried a torch for the targeted prosecutor Archibald Cox, or laughed at the sheer hypocrisy of feminists accusing the right of a war on women while sharing a stage with President womanizer himself, we’ve all found ourselves choosing sides and pointing fingers to the other side of the aisle.
But what makes the Obama scandals different? Well, let’s go over a few prior scandals:
Glover Cleveland: A child without a Father, socially unacceptable…especially when the Father is leading the country.
Ulysses S. Grant: His cabinet was a mess. He was disgraced with the scandals, yet defended those close to him. Partiality was no stranger during his presidency.
Watergate: Bribery, wiretapping, perjury, OH MY!
Bill Clinton: Oh giggles. Though aiding in the crash of the housing market should have been bigger news, President Clinton claimed the headlines with his tumultuous relationships instead.
Reagan Presidency – Iran-Contra was a bit more detailed as there were hostages that the Reagan administration was concerned with saving. Wrong or right in their actions, I still wanted to list it so as not to seem “partial” to conservatives. I’ll also take advantage of the opportunity to show you what Reagan said concerning the scandal:
“First, let me say I take full responsibility for my own actions and for those of my administration. As angry as I may be about activities undertaken without my knowledge, I am still accountable for those activities. As disappointed as I may be in some who served me, I’m still the one who must answer to the American people for this behavior….A few months ago I told the American people I did not trade arms for hostages. My heart and my best intentions still tell me that’s true, but the facts and the evidence tell me it is not. As the Tower board reported, what began as a strategic opening to Iran deteriorated, in its implementation, into trading arms for hostages. This runs counter to my own beliefs, to administration policy, and to the original strategy we had in mind.”
We never really found out what exact roles Reagan played in the scandal; however, he still took on full responsibility for what happened within his administration.
The Obama scandals contain something that sets them apart from the rest. Far apart. Like miles apart. Oceans apart.
Fast & Furious: Although leftist enjoy tossing Operation Wide Receiver in our face whenever this is mentioned, I enjoy the fact that the tossing of this Bush gun running tactic is like a sweet pitch right over the plate. You see, during OWR the Mexican government was aware of the gun running, the guns were tracked, and once our government realized that the tracking devices were being removed the operation ended. Bringing up OWR actually helps in conveying the blatant disregard involved in Fast & Furious; A gun running scandal involving untracked guns and no knowledge of activities from the Mexican government. Fast and furious resulted in over 300 filled graves with individuals killed by our guns; left like calling cards to mock our stupidity and recklessness, US weapons show up at Mexican Cartel crime scenes.
Benghazi: If you don’t already know the details, you should. Unlike previous scandals, this scandal puts an entirely new level of meaning to the word ‘Scandal’. Specific orders given that guaranteed help was not sent to our brave men in Benghazi. For over 7 hours our government stood by while our Ambassador was raped and murdered, giving a “Stand down” order to anyone within the range of aiding the brave Americans under attack. No one has shouldered the blame, and we now know that those orders were given by the top of the food chain, not the low level employees who have been camped out under the bus during all of these scandals. Then to add yet ANOTHER twist to the scandal, a YouTuber is currently sitting in prison, and the Obama administration knowingly lied and deceived the people of this nation. The media ignores the truth about Benghazi so adamantly that most US citizens aren’t even aware of the victims that gave their life. The details of this case are so vast that they warrant their own post…book…impeachment.
IRS scandal: Targeting, auditing, profiling, OH MY!
AP scandal: The media finally awakens to the underhandedness of the Obama Administration.
Hundreds of graves? No.
Leaving Ambassadors to die? No.
IRS targeting conservatives? No.
Getting their phone records? Alright NOW you’ve crossed a serious line!
With shovels in hand the Obama administration is ready to bury any shred of evidence that points to them. But it seems as of late that in their quest to seek eternal innocence they’ve become rather sloppy in their crime scene clean-up. Like the robber that has to destroy the fan adorned with their fingerprints that they had to use to dry the newly applied paint on the walls that were scratched while removing the carpet that contained blood from their hand after they cut it cleaning up a vase that broke while they were trying to steal the stapler. Regardless of the actual crimes – despicable as they may be – any sane person would walk into the room and say “what the heck happened here!?!?”.
Now if only the media had been more like journalists and less like coconspirators back when Benghazi and Fast and Furious happened, we may not have the AP & IRS scandals going down right now. While they scrape the bottom of the dignity barrel for any shred of credibility they have left, those of us who saw the bloody writing on the wall in the first place are left clutching our pearls in shock over their new found interest.
While I’m hoping that the minor break in media malpractice continues until members of the Obama administration are held accountable, I won’t hold my breath. To be honest, I look at this sudden change and hope it is exactly what the media claims. I’ve viewed a few blogs from individuals who believe that the sudden outing of the last two scandals are very convenient for an administration that would rather deal with those scandals than face the facts being revealed about Benghazi.
I saw many posts from Republicans congratulating the President on taking “action” with the IRS debacle. As much as I’d love to give kudos, it’s hard for me to toss out accolades for someone who is a professional at throwing low level employees under the bus. I’ve also witnessed a lot of information that seems to suggest that Obama was more informed about the IRS targeting well before this. If that’s the case, it would bode well for him to throw his targeted blame takers under the bus and be over with this issue…Hmmmmm…Maybe there is a reason for his speedy action?
From another angle, you could say that taking care of such an issue in proper time would also paint him as a President who handles issues, which happens to be the exact opposite of what we are accusing him of doing in the first place. More motive? Let’s not forget that Obama puppet master George Soros gave millions to some of the groups that put pressure on the IRS to target Conservative Nonprofits.
My reasons are purely hypothetical and hopefully not true; however, I know how this administration works. They calmly bury the screaming boxes of evidence while releasing exactly what they want you to see. So, I’d caution those who are boarding the Thank Goodness The Media Is Finally Doing The Right Thing plane headed to Obamafinallydidsomethingrightville. Because I’ve heard of those flights, and the stewardesses are always serving kool-aid.
I would encourage everyone to read this —–> http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2013/05/15/beck-ties-together-benghazi-irs-ap-scandals-fundamental-transformation/
On Friday I stumbled out of bed in what can only be described as an impeccable audition for a movie based on the coming Zombie apocalypse, due to the shards of glass I felt as though I was swallowing, I was grasping at my throat and speaking with the rasp of Marlon Brando; clearly I have a multitude of acting options. Zombie Godfather anyone? AmIRight?
After a couple days of sleep, cold pills, garlic tea, apple cider vinegar, honey and fish oil, I’m finally feeling like I’ve crossed over from “I’m going to die” to “watch it, I’m still not feeling great and the snark is strong.”
So what does one do at 2am while they’re choking down garlic tea? Or at 3am when steaming their face with a hot towel wrapped around their neck? Or at 1am while sitting on the couch dazed and confused and not even sure how I got there? Well, I decided to read Twitter and Facebook. I was able to catch up on all of the bitter – media hating – feelings circulating throughout the US…
I didn’t even know that parts of the US were still awake at that time…unless they were like me, choking down garlic water and fish oil…like a boss.
So, I started thinking about a conversation that took place on Twitter Thursday between Tweeters that have significant followers and more pull in the Conservative movement then I do. They were discussing the idea of taking down NBC, I concurred with them; NBC is the weakest link in the industry and thusly, the easiest kill.
I know, I’m even creeping myself out.
Basically their point is that by taking out NBC you send a message to the rest of the stations that we have reached the end of our rope with the media bias that blatantly ignored the mountains of evidence standing between the Benghazi victims and the truth, or the fact that the IRS is targeting innocent Americans simply because of their political stance. But you see – as those brilliant tweeters noted – we can’t possibly believe that ignoring NBC News would do any good. No, their bread and butter is in the entertainment television that airs during primetime. They also brilliantly pointed out that avoiding all channels, while noble, is a bit of a bigger bite than anyone is willing to take. Reach for the obtainable goals.
Point being, aren’t we tired of complaining yet? If we are adamantly against their truth censorship, why are we boosting their ratings? For entertainment purposes? So let me get this straight, when it comes to Benghazi we are revolted by their silence, yet we’ll watch our favorite show on their channel while we tweet about the evil media bias.
Example: Pass the popcorn and tub of ice cream, I’m going to rant about NBC on Twitter while I watch The Voice.
Mull it over. *Jeopardy Music*
In addition to the blatantly obvious option we clearly aren’t capitalizing on with the news channels, why are we watching shows with false equality preaching frequenters of Rodeo Drive? They preach on equality, yet attack us daily on Twitter and Facebook, mock us in movies, manipulate masses into hating us, and what do we do??? Being like the chronically enabling wife of a drug addict, we help them of course!
Example: We are like victims of the Soviet Union scattering outside intelligence for the dictators.
Somehow liberal entertainers have come to believe that they are the Lionhearts of world peace and unity, the Musashi of equality. Just for fun I thought about giving their tactics a run by punching someone in the gut and saying “bullying is bad!”…But then I realized that unless I am wearing something from the newest collection by Dolce & Gabbana and surrounded with bodyguards, my newly acquired ideals of helping the world finally realize the anti-violent truth would be futile.
This week I was reminded of a meeting that took place in the summer of 2012, a breakfast involving the leader of the free world and multiple A-list celebrities. Ok…so mostly b-list. Clearly lacking the credentials for involvement in the green energy discussions (unless you count emission ranting about airplanes…WHILE ON AN AIRPLANE), we must ask a simple question: why exactly were these red carpet gods there? Clearly the stars themselves exuding the sheer confidence in the fact that they’re advocates for all that is good and right made them qualified by status alone; however, the President on the other hand knows why such involvement was necessary, and it didn’t involve the brilliant brains situated behind the flawless faces.
See…Now you understand why I get my full 8 hours of sleep every night. Because in the shadows of the night, in the natural expectorants that cause the coughing up of lungs, in the putrid stench of garlic tea – the boycotter awakens in me.
So, like the great Twitterers (sp?) suggested, I’m beginning with NBC. It’s basically a 12 step program…I might even suggest some anniversary chips for those of us who make it past seasons of The Voice without watching. I’m also giving up a lot of movies, making a choice not to go see some of the new movies in theaters, etc. If the entertainment industry wants to become the US version of the Goskino, I don’t want to have anything to do with their rise to power…ok, more power. I’m starting to see the entertainment industry as not just being “biased” at this point, but as painting Socialism as the paragon of fairness while silencing any truth.
I went down the list of NBC shows, and to be honest I had a few on there that are in the series recording list on my DVR. For a brief moment I thought about ONLY watching those shows, slapping myself across the congested head for such an ignorant idea did indeed happen. It was 2am, people! I then remember 5 words that I will repeat whenever I think about supporting the targeted network after its most brutal display of leftist safety netting yet… “What difference does it make?”… Then it hit me, those boxes coming home from Benghazi containing the remains of Americans could have been filled with the remains of my family members. In the poignant words of Mr. Nordstrom: It matters.
It didn’t matter who was in those boxes to Hillary and Obama, standing over the caskets they spewed vitriolic lies and knowingly misled this country. The networks in question continuing to insult the intelligence of Americans with empty claims and false comparisons, propaganda that would give the Soviet Union a run for its money. Treating journalists with integrity as outcasts and spinning their own stories so as to take blame away from the people responsible.
Even now after some reporting has been done they are still managing to cover for our President. In the world that every other President lived in -Democrat or Republican – this would be a Presidential term ending occurrence. Yet somehow they have managed to place some blame on Clinton, some on the lower men on the totem pole, some on a few higher ups, the majority on republicans, a bowl full on Jay Carney, and nothing on the President of the United States…you know…their boss.
So what do I want out of this? Do I think the networks are going to shut down because of 1 person boycotting, or 100 people boycotting? No. But if we join the cause and encourage others to put aside their personal entertainment addictions for the sake of the Benghazi victims, Gosnell victims, etc. maybe we can make an impact. Maybe we can dent the ratings. Maybe we can send a message that those men deserve proper news coverage, those children and women deserve proper news coverage.
So, will you join me? Will you be a voice for those who are no longer with us? Will you fight the media bias you claim to hate?
So grab a book, take a walk, or watch other channels…Even if you never see them fall to their knees apologizing for their mistakes, you have the knowledge that you stood for something on behalf of the Benghazi victims. You’ve proven that in some little way that to you…
Michelle Obama dancing
While our rights are
slowly steadily quickly with the speed of light being taken from us, the blog topics are endless…but lately I’ve been in one of those bad political moods, I am really struggling to imagine the light at the end of the tunnel. It’s been a week of fail. One thing after another, people ignoring the facts, politicians lying being politicians, etc. Finally this morning it hit me…If I read ONE more article about the sequester, someone is going to need a spatula to peel me of the ceiling. Alas, why would I put anyone else through that? #AmIRight?
Yes, I am aware that hashtags used in a blog post are as – if not more – annoying than hashtags used on facebook. But I want to use it, and I think I should get a pass this time…I’m one “kittens will spontaneously combust because of the sequester” tweet away from drinking a bowl of brownie batter and camping out under my desk with a copy of One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish.
So, what does one do when feeling like the entire nation has become one big overindulged Veruca Salt?
Cry. Mope. Give up. Write.
This last week was a sad reminder for most conservatives, March 1st marked one year since the passing of Andrew Breitbart. He was a leader, a hero, and a rejuvenator to a people who had forgotten how to fight. For so many years we were scared to speak out, we had been labeled “greedy”, “racist”, and many other derogatory terms used to guilt someone into silence. He taught us how to fight the liberal narrative, and I fully believe that because of him we found our voice. Conservatives are louder than we have been in a VERY long time, and we face baseless accusations with truth. We are like the child getting beat up on the schoolyard by the merciless bullies that finally starts fighting back. And though we are bruised, we aren’t willing to give up the fight…We have Breitbart to thank.
So, after watching a few videos of Breitbart (they’re like my Tony Robbins workshops) I finally felt like I had moved on from being the embodiment of one of those depressingly emo teenage memes that say “Just because I smile, doesn’t mean I don’t hurt”. Who am I kidding, those things rank somewhere on the full spectrum of human emotion that I rarely – if ever – visit… Mine would be more along the lines of a meme with Grumpy Cat wearing the mask from SCREAM that simply says “run”. Anyway, I’m now out of my funk….Now let’s get down to business. (Applies war paint, tinfoil hat, and mounts horse yelling “FOR AMERICA!!!!”)
WARNING: Feeling rejuvenated, but residual heightened levels of sarcasm still present.
So I remembered hearing this quote from a very important historical figure, who’s name I can’t recall at this point in time. Maybe by the time I’m done with this post I’ll have an epiphany, or go to google and find this poignant individual. Or not. I honestly don’t know. Clearly if this rambling is still here when you’re reading this, I didn’t.
Anyway…the quote. I don’t even know the whole thing, but I know that it talked about some people chopping away at the branches of evil, and some going straight to the root. After I read this I was thinking about the myriad times I’ve said the words “Cloward-Piven” this week to only be met by confused faces. I said before the election that what our nation is facing goes back to 3 core issues:
2. Saul Alinsky
3. Moral Corruption
So first up to the plate: Cloward-Piven
The Cloward-Piven strategy is a “common good” utopian paradise ideal owned by Richard Cloward, and Frances Piven. Basically you take the entire public welfare system, financially overload it leading to its collapse…and then replace it. It’s like not liking your lamp anymore, but not being able to convince the rest of your family to purchase a new one. So you shatter it…While the family is desperate for light after you shattered their lamp, you convince them that the lamp put out dangerous light, light created by dirty – oppressive child/race/poor hating – energy. While they are mulling over the evil light that once illuminated their home, you run out and purchase the lamp you want. YOU’RE A HERO! The problem? The lamp you just purchased has blown up every time someone else tried to use it, killing all of those within range. But you keep that on the DL, because it looks super awesome, maybe it even has a new lamp shade that makes it look updated and progressive in style.
Question: What kind of government system do they want?
Answer: Guaranteed annual income. FULL reliance on the government.
Creating a crisis so that you can deliver a terrible system to a delusional people, then having them label your system as a stroke of good will towards all men. Gee, I bet they’d even give that person a Nobel Peace Prize for doing absolutely nothing…
Cloward and Piven wrote that “The ultimate objective of this strategy—to wipe out poverty by establishing a guaranteed annual income—will be questioned by some. Because the ideal of individual social and economic mobility has deep roots, even activists seem reluctant to call for national programs to eliminate poverty by the outright redistribution of income”
Their super duper difficult plan???? Inform the people that they have rights to welfare assistance, making sure that EVERYONE is taking FULL advantage of the system. Why? Because MATH tells us that when everyone is taking full advantage of a system that is already straining under the weight of a poorly distributed balance between the makers and the takers, it will eventual collapse. Which is EXACTLY what they wanted. Now if Barack is as brilliant as the media lapdogs and the deeply devoted Obama voters believe he is, don’t you think he is “brilliant” enough to figure this out?
You can’t scream from the rooftops that you’re not a Communist while following fellow Communists directions on “How To Be A Communist Country” without someone eventually saying, “Hey now, if you’re not a commie, why are you doing what they said would make a Communist country???” And you can’t peddle free Obama-phones without me thinking that you know EXACTLY how this system works.
The last step of the Cloward-Piven strategy – as listed above – is financial collapse. Financial collapse happens when you overload the welfare system. How do you do that, pray tell? Well, let’s go over a few pretty Commutastic ways someone could do such a thing. How about the largest tax increase in US history…The Affordable (Ha. Ha.) Care Act. Or how about taxing businesses KNOWING that they will terminate more employees? How about raising the minimum wage, KNOWING that it will terminate jobs and stop companies from hiring as many people? How about fighting for more spending…Well, I mean this one is pretty obvious…need more welfare dependency, create more welfare. Need people to be more dependant, make sure that they take home less money from their job.
But how do you convince a nation to implode themselves? First, you create the Veruca Salt mentality by saying that we are entitled to such things. It’s easier to oppress someone if you scream that you are trying to protect them from oppression. It’s like the shepherd leading the lamb to the field saying “this is where you’ll be safe”, but what the lamb doesn’t know is that the shepherd has a pretty sweet deal with the wolf. The lamb is just collateral damage. Second, you convince those “entitled individuals” that there are really selfish people who don’t want THEM to be happy. Then you whisper future promises in their ear and wait for them to look at you and say “But I want it NOW, DADDY!” (preferably in a thick English accent), then you fiercely point your finger in the direction of those selfish haters of the poor and scream:
“RACISTS! THUGS! RICH PEOPLE!”
Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome Saul Alinsky to the discussion.
The collective: “Welcome, Saul!”
When you go to make an elaborate dessert, and you only have one shot to make it, do you look at a recipe or wing it? If someone has already perfected the recipe you usually stick with what works, that way you don’t go to your dinner party with what looks like a pancake version of the Grand Canyon instead of a soufflé. Well, the liberals did the same thing. Saul Alinsky already had it all laid out for them, so they got out their mixing bowl and added class warfare, manipulation, “pity me”, race warfare, and a bit of fake radical hatred towards government, mixed it on high for a few years and now it’s baking into a beautiful mixture of orchestrated madness. They targeted the college aged kids first, because if anyone is looking for a cause to support, it’s individuals who can afford to camp in a park next to rape tents and smoke pot while playing on an Ipad purchased with Daddy’s money…while complaining about Daddy’s money. Those moldable minds were the clear target…The less they would search for facts, the better. And these kids were used to not thinking about facts, they had been spending day in and day out with progressive professors who didn’t require them to think outside the box of political uniformity, content to be “bricks in the wall”, they went marching on a mission they didn’t even understand, but a mission that gave them purpose, none the less.
Saul Alinsky wrote the handbook for creating a radical uprising…He is the brilliant, yet dangerous mind that wrote Rules for Radicals. Using the race card is a favorite Alinsky-like tactic. You see, they are using a tactic that they know Conservatives will not refute on principle. We don’t want to abuse or use conservative minorities because we are the side that actually finds all men equal. Conservative minorities are beginning to stand up and refute the obnoxious lies, and they are being attacked and demonized. Honestly, being a black conservative in a “radicalized” location would be cause for legitimate concern for safety at this point.
One of the Alinsky rules is that, “Ridicule is a man’s most potent weapon.” Just look at movies, TV, Celebrities, the Mainstream media, etc. it is FULL of conservative ridicule. They have tried to demonize us as being behind the times. They make fun of conservative stances so that the younger – uneducated moldable minds – think that being conservative just simply isn’t cool. Another Alinsky rule is to go outside the experience of the enemy, then cause confusion, fear, and retreat.
One word: Sequester.
Conservatives don’t have experience in manipulating the people to agree with our beliefs. We stand on the principle that everyone has a right to their own opinions and should, therefore, decide what they believe when the facts are presented…the issue is that we fail to get the facts to the table. The left doesn’t get facts to the table, but they get pretty little cupcakes of false information to the table, and THAT is how they win. Give them a day and they can have the world believing that eating sand will cut the time it takes to solve a quadratic equation in half, within a week professors would be selling packets of “miracle sand”. It’s how they work, they OWN the narrative.
Alinsky wrote that, “In war, the end justifies almost any means.”
Yeah, digest that one.
Saul Alinsky was a community organizer that inspired both Obama and Hillary Clinton (any many other prominent democrats). While Obama was a community organizer in Chicago he worked with individuals who carried on the legacy of Saul Alinsky. Before getting involved with ACORN he was involved with Project Vote, PV was set up by the Alinsky community organizers, he ran the voter registration drive for Project Vote. He was then an attorney for ACORN during the Clinton subprime loan debacle. Pressuring banks to increase subprime lending, the same subprime lending that eventually led to the collapse of the housing market bubble. When Clinton shot steroids into the Credit Default Swaps in his National Homeownership Strategy, he partnered with ACORN.
Shhhh…Don’t tell anyone that the same ACORN that Obama and Clinton were so devoted to is the same ACORN that was caught on video teaching individuals how to set up prostitution rings and whorehouses. I feel like I should note here that I’m against the War On Women…the real one.
Those poor minorities that couldn’t get mortgages before could now get help from the benevolent Democrats and Communities organizers. Fannie and Freddie came along for the ride too. But you know what’s worse than NOT getting a loan for a home? Having your home foreclose and be repossessed. By the time Clinton was leaving, the foreclosure numbers had already begun to rise, nearly 540K JUST in year 2001. Jump to year 2011 – In 2011 alone Nearly 4 MILLION foreclosures took place, and roughly 1.2 MILLION Repossessions. So WHY would banks that KNEW this would happen go along with it? Because the CRA (Community Reinvestment Act) in conjunction with Clintons newly put into place regulators made the liberals in Washington the Frank Nitti of mortgage lending. When banks didn’t comply what would they do? Cry racist and send their attack dog attorneys after them. Like Obama.
What did Bush do? Well, over EIGHTEEN times the Bush Administration mentioned that “financial trouble of a large GSE could cause strong repercussions in financial markets, affecting Federally insured entities and economic activity”, they warned the Democrat majority of the issues, and the progressives turned a blind eye to the unraveling of a country. Now should they have done more? Yes. If they knew how far gone our country would have been in 2013, I’m pretty sure that in their shoes most of us would have made a lot more noise. Yet liberals get away with this because of the Alinsky techniques they ever so brilliantly put into use. They created the side of devils long ago, and it wasn’t them. When their actions create catastrophic impact on a nation, they simply point the finger towards the opposition.
“Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it. . . . One acts decisively only in the conviction that all the angels are on one side and all the devils on the other.” Saul Alinsky
When Michelle Obama gave her DNC speech in 2008 she used a term straight out of Rules For Radicals. This was just ONE more hint of what was to come…From the mouth of our President we have heard that he is still a community organizer. Don’t confuse that with the guy that organizes the bell ringing for United Way…No, his community organizing is more like the bully who “organizes” the take down of the kid who would like to keep his lunch money. Al Capone probably turned down a cannoli more times than Obama truly helped any community.
So, I’ll end this very long Saul Alinsky section by saying that if you DON’T know the rules for radicals that Alinsky lined out for all of his faithful followers, you should. Who knew that the man who dedicated his book to “the first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom, Lucifer” could have such success in the political arena.
As for moral corruption, take a look at my last post. Until people of Faith, or people of moral integrity start standing up and facing the issues, we WILL be a lost nation. This doesn’t take 10 paragraphs to explain, turn on the news for 5 minutes and you can see how far we have fallen morally. It’s pure unmitigated carelessness, and it’s in that carelessness we have found a populous that no longer cares for their fellow man.
Regarding my comment about math, it’s pretty clear…we can recite the rhetoric just like the liberals, but when it comes to the facts more and more we are becoming like them. Do yourself a favor, learn about the Clinton administration and the years of denial that have led to the “blame Bush” mentality, then USE IT! I have debated with multiple liberals, and I can honestly say that when confronted with the financial facts concerning the Clinton era, they have ended the discussion with “let’s just agree to disagree”, that’s where you want them…doubting the story they’ve been told. They don’t have an answer…They’ve been living in a fairytale with rainbows that shoot out fairness, and unicorns that fly you to the nearest equal rights celebration after stopping by the peace cloud where you get to watch bulldozers run over guns. But shaking their thought process out of the utopian paradise is what will START the thinking process…We hope…I have NEVER heard a logical remark in response. Not. Once.
The cheap shots and immature nicknames for Obama and Michelle need to stop, we need to be facing the issues head on. We have facts on our side, we don’t need to stoop to their level by calling Michelle “Moochelle”, it’s not even funny anymore…Was it ever? Point being, use the MATH, use the fact that 2+2=4…That U-6 unemployment reflects the REAL story behind the unemployment and devastation in our country. That while the U-3 “looks” better (not really) than it was before, the LFP #’s are where they projected we would be in 2017. Use the fact that raising the minimum wage will only devastate the unemployment more. Use the amount of taxes added to the common American because of Obamacare. Fight with the weapon of knowledge in government activity.
You know what they say, whoever brings the bigger gun wins the fight. The liberal using their narrative when up against facts, is sort of like them trying to use a butter knife against your
steak knife machete tank. Trust me, I lack in the knowledge department just like anyone else, but I constantly strive to learn more about our government, our history, and most importantly our God. It’s the only way that I can wholeheartedly fight for the future I want my nephews to have. Let’s do this!
“Knowledge will forever govern ignorance; and a people who mean to be their own governors must arm themselves with the power which knowledge gives.” – James Madison
Obamacare to be decimated! Businesses thriving in employment friendly economic environment! Gas prices going down!
Sorry, It took a while for me to wake up from my daydream of a post Romney victory 2013. Now I’m wide awake and ready to read all of the headlines that are surely giving
the 4 victims of Benghazi Petraeus and his mistress their much deserved attention.
I like a good storyline, and this is clearly going to end up being on the big screen someday. It has everything needed for a real nail biter. Suspense, love, violence, tawdry affairs, jealous mistresses…and book deals. It’s Harlequin meets Tom Clancy. Jack Bauer meets Gossip Girl. Jason Bourne meets Desperate Housewives.
The interesting part to all of this is that the media and the Obama administration are running on the hopes that the American people are more drama thirsty than they are justice hungry. Maybe the 51% are. But for the rest of us this storyline is interesting, relevant, but STILL not taking our attention away from Benghazi.
Nice try, El Presidente! That was a noble effort you put forth to help the American people relieve themselves of the stresses accompanied by the Benghazi news, Mr. President.
As I sit here sipping water and eating Apple Cinnamon rice snacks (Apple flavored cardboard…with air) I can’t help but think of Hillary Clinton and her wine tasting adventures in Australia. Her wine tasting doesn’t bother me, it’s the fact that she is trying to get out of testifying about Benghazi. So while the bodies of Christopher Stevens, Sean Smith, Tyrone Woods, and Glen Doherty are 6 feet under, she continues to delay the truth to their family in exchange for wine tasting.
This doesn’t sit well with me. It shouldn’t sit well with you.
As for the indecency of Petraeus and his scandalous history, I’m with you…It’s wrong. As for the Democrats newly found moral code, I’m not so convinced. The party of Ted Kennedy and Bill Clinton are revolted over the evil sins of an affair? Not likely. This was convenient.
Was the possibility of a truthful testimony from Petraeus so astonishingly intimidating that they proceeded to rip open the closet doors and drag out the skeletons of a secret known by some members of the administration for a year now? The problem with their plan of action was that while shining a light on the scandal and screaming “LOOK, SHINY THING!!!” they forgot that the scandal closet is so full that they mistakenly shined a light on a few things that we weren’t supposed to see. Unfortunately for them it didn’t include documents with descriptive bullet points on how all of this is Bush’s fault.
But it did have:
Broadwell’s collection of classified documents…
The conspicuousness of Jill Kelly and her twin sister. Who are these random people and WHY are they so involved in the Middle East?? The twin sister is a former “companion” of Charlie Crist?
How about the 911 call from Jill asking for diplomatic protection?
Plus MANY MANY developing updates…
In the immortal words of Gomer Pyle: “Surprise, surprise, surprise”
This is the point in the story where Obama thinks to himself “So THIS is why Stalin executed Generals instead of just smearing their reputation!” Though the reputation is clearly capable of smearing itself, we can be sure that the Obama administration gave it the “Forward” shove it needed.
The trust of Petraeus has been demonized now and forever more. Anything he should say is now seen as questionable and easily deniable. Well, at least that is the thought process of Obama and crew. Now not only is Petraeus a target for doubt, he is also in the position to absorb the brutal uppercut of blame that the angry Benghazi truthers are demanding be given.
Not. Going. To. Work.
We know that the chain of command was used in Benghazi, and while Petraeus has his own sword to fall on, We The People have enough “swords” to go around, and we stubbornly plan on holding ALL parties accountable. Including our Propagandist in Chief. And although Hillary is doing her country and the elitist 1% an upstanding service by tasting wines for future 1% fundraisers, she isn’t off the hook either.
As for all of the other interesting details making their way to the surface during this whole debacle, we welcome the info. Obama has given us so many issues to absorb at one time over the past year that we are more than willing to multitask.
As Beck reduced the Obama Admin to Al Capone and gang, I’ll double down. This administration is full of crooks, murderers, traitors, and thieves. If we as Conservatives don’t put our foot down and DEMAND that justice be served to Chris Stevens, Glen Doherty, Sean Smith and Tyrone Woods, no one will. So from the bottom of my heart I ask you to grab a bowl of pop-corn and enjoy the show, but remember that this is war and we are fighting for the TRUTH! Don’t relent.
As Petraeus is the kingpin of this scandaliciousness, Obama is the “kingpin” of this country. With the amount of intelligence communications that went on during the 7 hours of Benghazi bloodshed, I believe Obama had to have known. I will go so far as to say that I believe Obama himself was nose deep in the Benghazi scandal. BUT, if they refuse to let dear leader fall on the sword at ANY cost, we STILL refuse to let Petraeus be the only one to take the fall. And remember, eventually Al Capone was held accountable as well.
4 men are dead, and while some individuals are cold enough to say “Stuff happens, people die”, we can’t accept this disgraceful and degrading view on the value of human life. This isn’t all political, this is for the sake of 4 men who deserve to have the truth released.
So while the Obama Administration gives off the feeling that they are as calm about the Benghazi debacle as Al Capone and his entourage were with cannolis and late night pizzeria meetings, we aren’t taking the bait. Thank you for the entertainment and the additional useful information, but you’re still the owner of our interests, Mr. President.
As for Carney. Every time that he names ANOTHER headline making scandal that Obama ISN’T aware of, it is just another thing that Obama doesn’t know about, but should. It insults the intelligence of those of us that follow the stories and know better. And for those that believe him, eventually they are going to start wondering if Obama’s domestic and foreign policy knowledge only consists of scoping out golf courses both in the states, and abroad…And that the only “reports” that get attention when they cross his desk are the reports of his approval numbers.
The way that we can hold our ground is by keeping their stories and their memories alive. Their voices were silenced. Ours were not. Let’s use them! Pray that the truth comes out, and that justice is served. Pray for the families who continue to suffer, for the Fatherless newborn, and for the parents, siblings and children who visit the graves of these men who for all we know could have been saved.
On a side note: Petraeus is now eagerly willing to testify. But let’s be honest…Obama didn’t let up on whatever he has over Petraeus head, whether it be information or violence, JUST in time for him to testify. Historical lesson: If Petraeus makes it to testify in one piece, he’s NOT going to sing like a bird. It’s that whole “History and it’s repetitive nature” thing.
